The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, participated today, June 1st, 2021, to the 17th Ministerial Meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC countries (ONOMM), held via videoconference.

This meeting brought together 23 countries of the Declaration of Cooperation (13 OPEC countries and 10 non-OPEC countries), who gathered to examining recent developments in the international oil market.
During this Meeting, it was unanimously decided to comply with the decisions of the fifteenth OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting, held on April 1, 2021, to maintain the adjustment of the production for the month of July, which is the increase of 441,000 barrels per day.
For Algeria, this adjustment will allow a slight increase which will be around 14,000 barrels per day.
The Minister also participated to the thirtieth Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) to assess the development of short-term market, as well as the conformity levels of production of the Declaration of cooperation Countries, for the month of April 2021, based on the report of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC).
The Minister welcomed, in a statement, the performance of the overall conformity levels achieved, as well as the respect of the commitments of the OPEC and non-OPEC countries for the month of April, which reached 114%.

The Minister also said that it was agreed within the framework of the Declaration of Cooperation agreement to continue the monthly OPEC and non-OPEC meetings, in order to monitor the evolution of the market and take the appropriate decisions for its balance and stability.
